Overdose
Born July 9th, 1989, in Rochester MN. Raised in Richfield MN. 1st inspiration was Coolio – Gangster’s Paradise at age 5 “I didn’t fully understand the message portrayed in the song, I was mostly intrigued by the melody.” Although, I cherished the chorus more in, my younger years. My first love of music, was the drums. I wasn’t naturally gifted like some my other classmates, but I learned quickly, that keeping the tempo was basically, the just of it all. Unfortunately I never learned to read music at the required level. Credit to my late stepfather. He and my mother used to entertain quite frequently, and my curiosity led me to the sounds of the greats. Bone Thugs, Biggie, NAS, Dr. Dre, Easy -E, Ice Cube, Big L, Big Pun and etc. And that was just the new s#*t! I was also intrigued by the old school stuff. Like Al Green, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Prince, Etta James, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, The Temptations and etc. The party life only fueled my love for music. Opening my eyes to my love for Rock and Roll and metal. Pink Floyd, Jimmy Hendrix, Metallica, Queen, Janice Joplin, Stevie Nicks, System Of A Down and etc. After high school, I failed to match my passion for music with dedication and ended up dropping out of (IPR) Institute For Production and Recording. But that didn’t stop my dream. It only taught me that no future is set in stone, and the only true ways to success is with hard work, talent, dedication and love.
